hi, I’m Emily!

I help anxious people-pleasers who are tired of fading into the background of their own lives, overthinking every word, and putting everyone else first—so you can finally trust yourself, speak up without guilt, and show up fully as your authentic self.

I offer online therapy for adults in their 20s–40s in Texas & Arizona, and people-pleasing recovery coaching for clients worldwide.

I also support clients navigating anxiety, anxious attachment, relationship struggles, and healing from childhood wounds. This is a space where people-pleasing ends and self-trust begins— and I am so glad you’re here.

wait…is this you?

  • I replay every conversation, thinking, “Did I say something wrong? Am I a burden?”

  • I say yes… all the time, even when I’m drained, frustrated, or secretly resent it.

  • I avoid conflict at all costs, swallowing my true feelings, every single time.

  • I feel responsible for everyone else’s happiness—like if someone’s upset, it’s my fault.

  • I try to set boundaries… and then immediately take them back because someone’s upset.

  • I feel guilty, selfish, even wrong, just for taking care of myself.

  • I tiptoe around my partner’s feelings, saying yes or agreeing even when I don’t want to, because I’m scared of upsetting them.

  • I feel like I’m living two lives—the one everyone expects, and the one I secretly crave.

now imagine…

  • I say what I really think, without overthinking, obsessing, or spiraling.

  • I say no freely, knowing it doesn’t make me a bad person.

  • I share my feelings openly, handle conflict calmly, and don’t apologize for being me.

  • I finally understand I’m not responsible for other people’s emotions.

  • I stand firm in my boundaries that align with my values and needs, even if someone is disappointed.

  • I honor myself without guilt, finally feeling grounded in who I really am.

  • I speak my truth in my relationship, expressing what I need and want without fear of their reactions. I start to understand what I need to feel safe & secure in a relationship, and stop settling for less.

  • I live one life that’s truly mine—honoring my family while finally showing up as myself.

I need help with…

People Pleasing Recovery

Learn to stop putting everyone else first (while you’re last on your own priority list) and reconnect with your own needs. Build self-worth from within — without overgiving, self-abandoning, or constantly seeking external validation.

Anxiety

Understand and soothe your anxiety, learn to trust yourself, and find more calm and confidence in daily life. You’ll learn how to build a healthier relationship with your anxiety, rather than letting it control your life and thoughts.

Relationships & Dating

Build secure, authentic connections without losing yourself. Heal anxious attachment wounds and learn to show up fully as you. You’ll also develop healthier communication skills, learn to resolve conflict directly, and express your needs with confidence.

Family & Cultural Dynamics

Navigate family-of-origin dynamics that may be contributing to anxiety, people-pleasing tendencies, or feeling lost in who you are. Especially as a first-generation American, you might feel torn between honoring your parents and creating your own path. You’ll learn to find your authentic voice and create healthy boundaries that truly work for you.

 FAQs

  • I currently accept Aetna insurance. Please read FAQ below to learn more about out of pocket rates and OON benefits.

  • My standard rate for a 1:1 50-minute individual therapy or coaching session is $175.

  • I have partnered with Thrizer who will submit out-of-network claims to your insurance company at no cost to you (or work on your end)! *Please note that using OON benefits means you are responsible for full payment upfront of $175.

Then, if you have out-of-network benefits, insurance plans will typically reimburse you for 60-80% of the therapy session cost (once deductible is met, if applicable).

If you decide to submit your own out-of-network claims, I can provide a superbill to you, which you will upload online to your insurance company. Once they receive this, they will mail you a check for reimbursement.

I encourage you to call the number on the back of your health insurance card listed under Member Services.

You can ask them the following questions:

    • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?

    • What is my out-of-network deductible?

    • How much of my deductible has been met this year?

    • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

    • What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?

    • How much will I be reimbursed for a 53 minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90837)?

    • How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?

    • How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?

  • Under my therapy license I can only work with residents of Texas or Arizona. You must live in the state I am licensed in for us to work together.

My coaching services can be provided worldwide!

  • Before scheduling a session, I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can see if working together feels like a good fit. It’s casual and low-pressure & just a chance to connect and get to know each other a bit!

    • I’ll ask you about why you’re seeking therapy (or coaching!)

    • I’ll tell you a bit about myself and my approach as a therapist

    • You can ask me any questions that I didn’t cover

    • We’ll talk about rates, insurance, availability, etc.

From there we can go ahead and book a first session directly on the call or you can have some time to think about it. These calls are completely zero pressure, I genuinely want you to feel like it’s a good fit for you.

  • We’ll typically meet weekly or biweekly, depending on your needs and what feels most supportive. Starting off with more consistent sessions helps us build trust, get to know your story, and begin making meaningful progress toward your goals.

In our first few sessions, I’ll ask thoughtful questions to really understand your experiences; especially around things like anxiety, people-pleasing, family dynamics, or anything else that’s bringing you here. From there, we’ll get clear on what you want out of therapy and create goals that actually feel aligned with who you are and what you want for your life.

Our sessions are a mix of reflecting on the past, noticing patterns, making space for all parts of you, and learning practical tools to navigate challenges in a way that feels empowering.

Therapy can be vulnerable & also life-changing. Sometimes it’s hard. Sometimes it’s emotional. And sometimes, we’ll laugh together too!! You don’t have to have it all figured out to start. I’ll walk with you as you learn to trust yourself more, unlearn old patterns, and come home to the version of you that feels the most real and grounded.
